As part of our curriculum offer we provide maths and English to learners who are yet to achieve their Function Skills level 2 or GCSE grade 4 equivalents.
Tutors will relate a learners creative qualification to ongoing topics in maths and English so that it can be relevant to each learners journey and engaging.
Most of the time we don't consider the impact of maths and English skills but they will undoubtedly provide learners with some of the most important skills that they will take away from their course. Improving their lives at home or in work and their employability and social skills.
A large majority of employers and entry requirements for HE will request a minimum maths and English grade is achieved of grade C, 4 or equivalent (FS Level 2). TMP will create personalised, differentiated tuition in both the vocational classes and maths and English classes to make sure learners achieve their grades and enjoy their learning experience.
If a learner arrives to TMP with a grade 3 in maths and/or English they will be enrolled on to their GCSE qualifications for maths and/or English.
If a learner arrives to TMP with a grade 2 or less in maths and/or English they will be enrolled on to functional skills qualifications for maths and/or English.
Learners enrolled on to functional skills will have the opportunity to discuss levels and options, starting at Entry Levels and working their way up to level 2, the GCSE grade 4 equivalent.
